About Art of Play
Founded in 2013 by twin brothers Dan and Dave Buck after becoming wildly successful producers of designer playing cards. Their interest in cards began at an early age when they practiced card tricks, and pioneered the art of cardistry. Today, Art of Play is a well-known and respected name in the game industry for its highly collectible and limited-edition playing cards. With an average of twenty new designs released each year, our catalog constantly changes, so please check back often for new releases. Our playing cards are suitable for all games requiring a standard deck. Printed with vegetable-based inks on premium FCS-certified paper in the United States.
Lepidopterist is the study of butterflies and within this luxurious deck, we invite you to explore the natural beauty of nature combined with architectural details inspired by the elegant Art Nouveau era of the early 1900s. Originally released on Kickstarter by the designer Ethan Kowaleski in a green colorway, the cards have since become highly collectible. In collaboration with the artist, we are pleased to announce a brand new limited edition Lepidopterist deck in Pink. Packaged in a luxurious letterpress-printed tuck box with gold foil accents. Sustainably produced using FSC certified paper and vegetable-based inks on our trademark thin-stock and finish. Printed by The United States Playing Card Company.
